44 Days of Change

This year, when I celebrated my 44th birthday, I received a gift from my unconscious mind: 44 days of change.

The idea struck me two days before my birthday. I didn’t have time to think it through, no time to plan, no time to put together some brilliant marketing plan. All I knew was on my birthday, I would begin offering free coaching sessions. One free session a day for 44 days. Helping one person find a breakthrough in their life.

In those first 44 days, I did not reach my goal. But the sessions I did provide helped sharpen my skills while also helping others find their way through doubt, fear, and hesitation.

I worked with a teenager who wants to start a business. I helped him figure out what his core offer is and how to price it.

Then, I worked with a man from church who was facing anger and resentment. In one short conversation, I helped him unpack the source of that resentment and helped him reparent his inner child.

A former client reached out. She was experiencing a volatile time in her life where her energy was up and down. I led her into the control room of her mind and allowed her to make deep changes on an unconscious level. When she came back, she was happier and more vibrant.

These are just a few of the sessions.

And after the first 44 days was up, my unconscious said, “Now what? How about you do the 44 days yourself?”

What a novel idea. Originally, 44 days of change was about helping others. Now, it was my chance to work on me. 44 days. One person. One mission.

I’m more than halfway to the end of my 44 days, and the person I am becoming is vastly different than the person I started out as.

Over the next few days, I’ll share some of my thoughts about what I have learned during my journey. Perhaps, it might resonate with some of you, bringing you hope when you need it most.
